Scouting for roe buck scrapes & game camera pics

As the sun was shining today I decided to make the most of it and took a tour out into the forest with my son to check my game camera and to do a little scouting, it didn't take long to find signs of game, here are some pics.

Moose McNuggets! =)
We have been seeing lots of signs of moose activity in our terrain so I'm looking forward to the start of the moose season in October, only 5 months to wait.....!

Excited with the results of the scouting I made my way over to the game camera to check the photo's.

First roe deer, a roe doe.
I set up my game camera to take a 10 second video each time it was activated, here is some of the video footage of the moose encounters.

More footage coming soon!

Another salt stone... another moose!

I took another trip out into the terrain on the weekend with Bernt and the dogs and we put out another couple of salt stones for the moose and roe deer in nice quiet, sheltered areas.

I also received an MMS pic from my game camera which is positioned at the same location shown in my earlier post, you can see in the lower right hand corner the head of a moose entering the salt stone area.

I have decided to leave the camera where it is for a couple of weeks to get a good overview of what game is in the area, I'm looking forward to collect the memory card and download the photo's.

Game Camera Pics - Moose cow & last years calf

I went out scouting the terrain last weekend with my friend Bernt and we decided to put out some salt stones to help the animals with nutrients after the winter months. I took the opportunity to get out my game camera to see what's in the terrain prior to the hunting season.

Here are the results after one week:
